Will Wells: The Farms of the Future

Hummingbird Technologies

In this Startup Microdose podcast, Will Wells, CEO of Hummingbird Technologies, talks about his company which uses machine learning and computer vision techniques to deliver insights on crop health.

The vision for Hummingbird Technologies came to Will when he was on a hospital bed during a two-year fight with cancer. Happily recovered, Will is now realising that vision.

Hummingbird is one of the leading agri-tech startups to come out of the UK. The company’s technology processes image data from ️satellites and drones to create precise harvest forecasts or accurately calculate how much fertiliser is needed, as well spot diseases and pest infestations using AI.

Will gives an inspiring account of how he and the team are optimising sustainable farming practices and transforming the agriculture industry.
