  • I wasn’t successful the first time, can I reapply to be listed on SeedTribe?

    Yes - you are welcome to reapply at a later stage, for funding and/or for further non-financial support.

  • How do I know if my business is impactful?

    Measuring impact is key to seeing you company's reach to solving one or more of society's issues. We at SeedTribe use the The United Nations created 17 Sustainable Development Goals to assess the impactfulness of applicatns. Each goal has specific targets. Learn about them here.

  • How can I protect the confidentiality of my idea?

    If you’re worried about confidentiality we'd advise you to write enough to get the investors interested in your project without revealing any sensitive information. Once you start discussions with an investor, you may want to ask them to sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) before you release more information. This is a common concern and ultimately the secret to a great business lies not in the idea, but in the team and how they execute it. If you are top of the gain, you shouldn’t have to worry.

  • What are the key performance indicators of the challenges you are seeking to address?

    Sucess is not always measured in terms of financial gain. Read more about how other measures can be used to create KPIs here.

  • Is this a big enough market?

    At SeedTribe we tend to work with businesses that address a market valued at 1 billion GBP.

  • Does the valuation seem fair?

  • Do I need to do my own due diligence?

    You should do your own due diligence on any investor you deal with. Please help out the community by reporting and endorsing investors.

  • What is SeedTribe?

  • Why seek an angel investor?

    A good angel investor provides business assistance in many ways:

    • They will provide the money you need to set up or grow your business.

    • They might take a seat on your board of directors and play an active role in the day-to-day management of your business.

    • They’re usually current or former business owners themselves, so can offer advice on business management and strategy.

    • They often have a large network of contacts they can introduce you to - more angels, potential partners, suppliers, employees, etc.

    • They can help your expand your client base by promoting your business to colleagues and friends.

  • I am looking for investment, what should I do?

    Sign up and then complete our application form through our website and our team will review it and get back to you about the suitability of your business and the next steps.

  • What other support can I get beyond financial investment?

    Through our Hub we offer support in a range of ways. If you are looking for mentoring, are recruiting, seeking networking opportunities or after any other help, sign up and then complete this application form and we will be in touch to see how we can help.

    Our hub also showcases a curated selection of impactful startups, events, podcasts, webinars and learning resources. It is a fantastic source for inspiration and tools to help you grow your business.

  • What are the costs?

    At the moment it is free to be listed on SeedTribe. However anyone fundraising needs to pay for a listing on our parent platform Angel Investment Network. Please see their rates page for more information. In the future, there will be a small fee to list on SeedTribe. We will notify you when our payment policy changes.

  • What happens if I am not suitable for SeedTribe?

    Unfortunately we are not able to support all businesses which apply to SeedTribe. To find out more about what we are looking for please click here. However, if you are not right for SeedTribe, if you’re looking for equity investment you can still be listed on our parent website Angel Investment Network. Through the platform, your idea can be showcased to over 200,000 angel investors.

  • Can I use SeedTribe if I'm not based in the UK?

    For now, SeedTribe is only suitable for UK registered companies. If your company is based outside of the UK, we recommend our partner site Angel Investment Network to look for funding.

  • How long will it take for my application to be reviewed?

    We aim to get back to you about the outcome of your application within one week.


  • How many days is my proposal listed for?

    Your proposal is listed for 90 days.

  • What happens at the end of the 90-day listing?

    At the end of your 90-day listing you will be given the chance to pay to renew your pitch. Your pitch will be reactivated for another 90 days and will be resent to the investors.

  • Can proposals be edited after launch?

    Yes, proposals can be edited at any time.

  • I need investment but am pre-revenue. What do I do?

    We generally focus on revenue-generating start-ups to actively showcase to investors. However, do feel free to apply here and we'll be happy to review your business to see how we can help. However, money isn't always the answer! Have a look at our Events and Learn section: there are a number of hacks to help you grow without money, potential partnerships with either Corporates or complementary start-ups where you can join forces for mutual benefit and growth. Also let us know what specific help you need and we'll be happy to look out for you.
