Communicating your Social Impact 101 with UnLtd & UBS – How to evidence and talk about the amazing stuff you do

Are you a social entrepreneur wanting to build you skills and knowledge on how to measure your social impact? Would you like to pick up easy to use, practical tools and frameworks to help you evidence the great work you do and to learn how to communicate this to your key stakeholders? UnLtd are excited to be partnering with our friends at UBS to host a free one-day workshop covering all you need to know to get you started with telling your social impact story.

At this workshop we will cover:

Measuring and evidencing your impact: (Delivered by Josh Meek, Social Impact Support Specialist at UnLtd)

  • Get an introduction to social impact and do some jargon busting
  • Define your problem statement – what is the problem that you are trying to address
  • Write up your social value proposition i.e. what is your solution, how does what your product / service help solve this problem
  • Identify how you prove your impact and what will you need to measure to do this

Communicating your impact: (Delivered by UBS Communications team)

  • Identify your key stakeholders i.e. the audiences you want to influence
  • Narrow down to Identify your most important paying client and create
  • Write up your elevator pitch including a clear ask aimed at your paying client
  • Write up a pitch deck again aimed at your key paying client


About the workshop format:

In addition to hearing from your content experts, you will be paired with your own team of 4-5 UBS graduate trainees. You work with one team in the morning and another one in the afternoon. Together with your teams, you will work through the materials, frameworks and exercises provided by your workshop hosts. Consider your team as your personal five (!) extra pairs of eyes, ears and brains for the day and come ready to take advantage of the perspective and insights they can bring.

This workshop is for you if:

  • You are an early stage social entrepreneur
  • You want to learn the basics of measuring and communicating your social impact
  • You have at least one target customer in mind whom you’d like to pay for your product / service
  • You can be in London for the whole day on Wednesday 4th September 2019
  • You are excited about the opportunity of having your own team of 4-5 UBS graduate trainees working for you and with you during the day

Plan for the day:

9am Arrivals with tea & coffee

9.30am – 12.30pm WORKSHOP PART ONE - MEASURING & EVIDENCING YOUR IMPACT

Welcome + Meet your team of UBS graduate trainees

During the morning session you will, with the help of your team:
